Eyeliners

It's another beautiful day and am happy to be writing again and i will be enlightening you on Eye pencils and Liners and how they can be used properly.

Eyeliner is a cosmetic tool used to define the eyes. It is applied around the contour of the eye to create a variety of aesthetic illusions.
Colored liner on the lids
Although primarily aimed at females, it has broadened its appeal to the male market, that of the males is called the "GUY LINER".
Eyeliner is commonly used as a daily make up routine to define the eye or create the look of a wider or smaller eye. Eyeliner can be used as a tool to create various looks as well as highlighting different features of the eyes.
Whether it be with a winged eyeliner or tight lined at the waterline, eyeliner can be placed in various parts of the eye to create different looks.

Perfect Application of the Eyeliner
Eyeliner can be drawn above upper lashes or below lower lashes or both, even on the water lines of your eyes. Its primary purpose is to make the lashes look lush, but it also draws attention to the eye and can enhance or even change the eye's shape.

Eyeliner is available in a wide range of hues, from the common black, brown and grey to more adventurous shades such as bright primary colors, pastels, frosty silvers and golds, white and even glitter-flecked colors.
Glitters

They also come in liquid, solid pencils and gel forms.

However, the liner is a very important part of our daily makeup and it's best to get water proof liners to prevent running.

Until my next post, keep looking beautiful.

The Mascara

It's been a while and i miss this very much i must confess. I've been quite busy running around for the wedding of one of my sisters from another mother, I'm glad to be back and it's nice writing again.

I want to discuss about the use of Mascaras.

I once met a lady who told me she never uses mascara because it makes her lashes look fuller and longer than normal, so that makes her look unnatural because she now looks like a doll.

I met another lady who refuses to use mascara because it runs into her eyes and hurts her so much and ends up spoiling her whole makeup after the torture, leaving her with black eyes and black patches on the whole of her face.

I must say that the MASCARA is a make up tool worth owning.

Mascaras are meant to enhance our makeup, they add volume to our lashes and coordinate them also, some are so good that they make our natural lashes pass for false lashes there by giving a very lovely finish to our makeup.
There are water proof mascaras that will never run even under heavy rain or in a swimming pool. Always endeavour to buy waterproof mascaras that wouldn't run and damage your make up and any product that goes close to the eyes isn't meant to hurt, so be sure you are buying the original product.

Products like Loreal Volume shocking mascara come with a base or lash primer, you apply the white one which is the base or primer first by just combing out the lashes with the wand and top it with the black, apply a second coat and your lashes will double in volume and length, giving you that false lash effect you've been looking for.

Mascaras come in different colours for any kind of look you want to achieve and products like Lancome come with different wands which perform different functions.

Defines lashes

Lengthens lashes

Adds volume to lashes

Adds volume and extends curls

Designed for Multiplication of Lashes

Place wand on lashes and roll out, that lengthens the lashes, or if you don't know how to do it from top you can just brush up from bottom if that makes you more comfortable, just do it your way as long as you get a good result. There are no set rules!

You can also group lashes in fours or fives to create a dramatic effect.

Remember to be as neat as possible when applying makeup so you won't look unkept after having colour patches everywhere. Wipe if you have to and touch up before stepping out if you have to.

Please feel free to post comments, suggestions or questions.

Look beautiful always

My Eight Magical Makeup Tools

Hi divas, you are welcome to the month of September. I am so certain that you are going to be attending lots of parties as the year draws to a close so today am talking about those seven tools that I can't do without as i rock nd roll through the remainder of the year, and I think every lady should try and include them in their collection.

The Face Powder: We all know what the powder does to our faces when worn in the right shade. It covers the spots and discolouration to an extent, leaving the face looking very fresh and flawless.

The Brow Brush: This can either be like a mascara wand or a comb and brush in one stick which we are all familiar with. I can not do without this brush as small as it is, because just a brush leaves the brows looking intact and coordinated.

The Brow Pencil: I strongly feel everybody needs a brow pencil for proper outlining and precision of the brows. I am personally obsessed with my brows and I make sure they are precise. Always trace up and down when your brows are professionally groomed and fill in a little depending on how scanty the brows are, then brush into place with the brush.

The Mascara: This does magic to the eye lashes, there are some mascaras that add volume, some add length while some do both. When you coat your lashes twice or thrice depending on how good the mascara is, it emphasises the lashes and transforms the whole of your eyes.

The Eye Liner: This also does a great job of bringing attention to the eyes when worn the right way. Liners come in different colours, the white and other bright colours widen the eye while the dark colours can be used to create your desired effects.

The Blush: Although dark-skinned people do not blush but we might be missing out a lot if we do not use the blush. They come in different colours so we can do the dark reds, wines and browns. Although anything goes in this time of colour blocking, but we should still endeavour to do things the right way. It raises the cheek bones giving the right structure to the face and brightens up the face. Do not leave the house without applying the blush.

The Lip Gloss: This can be worn alone or on the lip stick. It just lubricates the lips and gives a sexy outlook when worn in the right proportion. They also come in different colours which are called lip polish and some are called emulsion which are used to achieve the reigning MATT lips, while the clear or transparent ones are glosses or glasses.

Hot Pink or Hot Red Lipsticks: These two colours are working wonders now as we all know how wonderfully the colours can just transform the whole face, with a hot red lipstick you can switch between the classic and urban looks while the pink when worn mildly with a gloss can pass for day and when worn heavily with or without gloss will just pass for a dramatic or night look.

Now that you know the importance of these makeup tools, you should add them to your collections and remember that your brows frame your face, so endeavour to have them done professionally.

Look good and have fun as you enjoy the various grooves that are abound towards the end of the year

Look beautiful always!

The Different Skin Types

It is another beautiful day and i hope you have been doing great.
Am here again to enlighten you on the different skin types.

There are basically five skin types which are:

Normal skin: This skin type needs no extra care, it doesn't produce much oil, it's nt flaky, produces no pimples or acne, it's nt just problematic in any way, it looks healthy and supple with just normal treatment.

Oily skin: This skin type may produce excess oil on the fore head, nose, and chin regions, the pores are larger and may be more pronounced and it certainly needs extra care. This is a problematic skin type as everything you use has to be labelled for oily skin, it doesn't age quickly though but serious attention needs to be paid to it.

Dry skin: This may have tightened or fine pores, flakes, may feel very dry and produce little or no oil at all. It needs constant moisturising and people with dry skin are advised to use products that are labelled for dry skin

Combination skin: People with this skin type produce oil at the forehead, nose and chin regions and little or no oil at all at the remaining parts of the face. This is the most common skin type and it is less problematic

Sensitive skin: This is a highly problematic skin type. It can be identified by frequent redness, pimples and acne, it reacts to almost everything and people with this skin type should go mild on every skin care product they use, make sure they get the ones that are labelled for sensitive skin and pay more attention to their skin.

I hope after reading this post you will be able to identify your skin type and get the suitable products for it.

Remember to wash off your makeup every night before you sleep, else you put your skin at the risk of breaking out.

Look beautiful always!!!

SHINE CONTROL

Am here again peepz and i hope you found our last post interesting?

Our country is really hot and as ladies and notable women we have to go the extra mile to keep our makeup looking fresh all day so we won't look dirty or untidy. This takes a conscious effort because we have all the factors working against us remaining fresh all day here in our humid country.

I mentioned something about MATTYFYERS in our last post, that's what am going to talk about today.

Mattyfyers are products made purposely to control and conceal facial oil and prolong the freshness of our makeup. They automatically set your makeup and give this smoothness to your powdering thereby giving a very flawless appearance when all is well blended into the skin.

Mattyfyers should be used as primer which goes on the skin first before our foundation, It fills the pores and just blocks the oil almost totally, keeping your makeup fresh for a long time.
Mattefyers are everywhere in the market, the common and easily accessible one here is the Mary Kay mattyfyer, it's very cheap and does a very good job. If you are oily skinned or you want to keep your makeup fresh for long, you should have a mattyfyer in your makeup bag.

So that's gonna be all for now, expect more tips from me soon and remember always to wear your right powder shade, or else you look darker or fairer than normal. Look beautiful always!

YOUR SKIN TYPE AND YOUR POWDER

How have you all been? Hope you enjoyed our last post and you no longer have issues with grooming your brows.

Today we are going to talk about your skin type and powders.

Before you buy any Powder, you should read its composition and find out the "traits and tendencies" of each product. MAC products for example, are very good and long lasting, it covers well and gives a perfect flawless finish when worn in the right shade, but if you reside in a tropical region such as Nigeria with a normal skin and you wear MAC, you will certainly get as oily as someone with an oily skin wearing any other brand in hours, this depends on how hot the weather gets due to the humid nature of our country. So if you have an oily skin, you either shouldn't wear MAC in a tropical hot region or just get a Mattyfyer if you can't do without the brand. I will enlighten you on the benefits of Mattyfyers in our subsequent posts.

It is advisable you go for oil blotting powders if you are oily skinned and if you are dry skinned or you just don't get to produce so much oil, you can go for MAC and others like Black Opal.

The Flori Robert Oil Blotting Powder is very good for oily skin and it gives very good coverage too, and if your skin is very sensitive, just go for the mineral based ones. Mineral based powders tighten skin pores thereby reducing oil and that means you really don't get to break out when you use them. Almost every brand produces mineral based powders.

Till we come your way again, keep enjoying yourselves, feel free to comment and post questions

And remember DO NOT leave your house without wearing your powder, well groomed brows, well blended blush and lip polish or gloss.

Makeup is best when kept simple.

Look beautiful always!

BROW GROOMING WITH RAZOR Nd BRUSH

You need A̶̲̥̅̊ brow brush for A̶̲̥̅̊ proper brow grooming, if U̶̲̥̅ can't get one den get your old tooth brush or wash an old mascara wand. Brush the brows to place to reveal the shape and the arch, your arch is just A̶̲̥̅̊ little after the dark part of the eye ball. Then place your razor under the brow following the shape correctly and drag down, continue placing and dragging following the shape correctly and minding the arch.
Following the shape too, place the razor and drag the upper part of d brow down A̶̲̥̅̊ little and around the arch, slim it out towards the end to give it A̶̲̥̅̊ tail, just to ensure sharpness. Never take too much from the top of the brows, do all corrections from below and highlight using an angled highlighting brush and A̶̲̥̅̊ gold eye color with less shimmers, because of the shade of the skin. No problem with silver though but gold appears more beautiful and less loud.
Follow the shape and keep it light.
That's your simple brow grooming tips by
